Orchids originated from the tropics, where the climate is warm and humid. The perfect climate for orchids can be 80 percent humidity. This level of humidity can be very uncomfortable for humans, but orchids love humid, moist conditions. Well, one way to increase humidity for orchids is to get a deep saucer and put some pebbles in it. Now sit your orchid pot on top of the pebbles. If you can pour some water into the saucer without the water touching your orchid pot, you can create some nice humidity for your orchid.
Depending on the type of orchids you have, you may only need to water them every seven to ten days.
